Keeping up with the day to day entries as you've handled each disbursement decision throughout the campaign only takes about two minutes more for each check you write, or deal you make. Use the AP module to record every obligation, even if you haven't written the check yet. Don't let unexpected debt sneak up on you and remind you at an awkward moment.

We urge that you celebrate the success of your fundraising efforts by plying that data directly back into the system, even before making the deposit. Or as soon as you return from the bank with the photocopies at the latest.

If you do that from the start, keep up with the day to day, when the time comes to prepare your disclosure reports, you'll be ready.

Then when it is reporting time, Use the Contributions -> Reports -> Transactions menu item, choose to radio button to include closed transactions and a complete list of donors, dates, and amounts is instantly generated. Drill down to obtain the address data needed to complete the report.

Liewise, using AP -> Reports -> Transactions, choosing the closed transactions radio button and the Continue button will give you access to the details necessary to compile the expense side of your disclosure reports. Again you will be able to drill down to access as much detail as you need.

Campaign Foundations is considering building a custom Campaign Finance Disclosure Report, which in phase one will permit choosing a reporting period and then offer a data download of the data set necessary to compile mandatory filings.

In phase 2 of this project, we'd like to offer the ability for Federal candidates to generate their FEC forms with the click of a button. In phase 3, we'll offer state disclosure forms a sate at a time.
